RI and MA Shelters and
Humane Organizations for Lost and Stray Animals
If you have lost your pet, it is recommended that you personally
visit shelters in and around you community. Hang posters in shelters
with your petís photo, description and telephone number(s).Place ads in
the papers. Be persistent and check back often! Sometimes, animals can
be picked up and taken to shelters far from their home. Municipal
shelters have to hold animals for only five (5) days before adopting or
euthanizing. Visit

Always have a current ID
tag on your pet at all times.
