Are you thinking about volunteering? If so, please send VSA your resume, along with an email that tells us what you would like to do and if you have had some experience with companion animals.
If you can’t volunteer your time, you can help by making a donation to the following:
VSA Statewide to be used where there is the most need
VSA Statewide Spay & Neuter Fund
VSA Statewide Feral/Homeless Cat Fund
VSA Statewide Emergency Veterinary Assistance Fund
VSA Statewide Emergency Food & Medicine Fund
VSA Statewide Injured/Orphaned Wildlife Fund
VSA Factory Farmed/Work Animals/Food Animals Welfare Fund
VSA Providence Fund
VSA Warwick Fund
You can send your donation to: Volunteer Services for Animals PO Box 6263 Providence, RI 02940-6263
There is another important way to donate which is available to VSA supporters who are still in the workforce. You can give through your company's payroll deduction or through the United Way of Rhode Island Workplace Giving Fall Campaign which takes place every year. Many Rhode Island businesses will match your donation. You can also choose VSA when you shop at Amazon. We are registered there to receive donations made from your purchases. 100 percent of your donation is used to help homeless and owned companion animals in need of veterinary treatment, surgeries, and spay/neuter. VSA is an all-volunteer organization. VSA's modest overhead cost to operate the office are paid for by the interest earned on VSA's endowment.
VSA realizes that an important solution to humane issues is continuing education. VSA has created two endowment funds with the Rhode Island Foundation to sustain it's humane work. If you wish to contribute to the VSA Humane Education Fund or the VSA Warwick Humane Education Fund you can contact the Rhode Island Foundation. The VSA Treasurer will be happy to talk to you about the endowment funds, bequests or trusts for VSA. Please email the Treasurer at vsaheadquarters@yahoo.com if you have an interest in remembering VSA.
